I led the visual direction and production of an 88-page publication, managing a team of five designers while overseeing layout systems, art direction, cover design, and final publication assembly.

Platform is a fashion and culture magazine, a creative community and a voice for artists based out of NC State University.
the design
Volume XIX was designed to veer away from the typical spring fashion imagery. We used deep colors and fuzzy imagery to morph memory and reality.
XIX contrasts the rigid, grid-like layout of Volume XVIII, and instead feels organic and fresh, with feelings of dreams and hazy memories.
the shots
I took film photography on set of the cover shoot, to add a "behind-the-scenes" lens to the photos. We used my pictures in the magazine to add a second layer to the digital photos taken by Lizzy Novelli.
